Build-a-Site Page Types
Build-a-Site has three basic page types; Text pages, list pages and gallery pages.
- Text pages: Text pages consist mainly of text but can have an image associated with the page. The image can be across the top of the page, or to the left or right of the page. This page is a basic text page with no image, and we've included the quick contact form in the right panel.
- List pages: List pages consist of a list of items each of which can have an extended page, can link to an external website or both. Each list item can have a thumbnail image for the list page and a larger image for the extended description page if there is one. Once you've created a list page, you can easily add items to the list.
- Gallery Pages: Gallery pages are a table of thumbnail images which link to a larger image when clicked on. These can be stand alone pages or can be an extension of a page with thumbnails in the right panel of the page.
The Right Panel
All of the pages can have an optional right panel containing news items, text, a contact form or thumbnail images. If you choose to add thumbnail image, you can limit the number of images shown and if there are more images related to the page a link to a gallery page will appear, allowing visitors to view all of the images for that page.
This page is a basic text page with no right panel. The navigational menu can be horizontal at the top of the page or vertical to the left of the page.

Websmiths have designed and built the Build-a-Site CMS system, and if there's some additional features that you would like to include in your own website we would be happy to talk to you about them. As we have coded all of the pages for the site, we can change pretty much anything you want.
